On behalf of the organizing committee, it is with great pleasure that I announce an exciting enhancement to the fundraising efforts of the Triple Crown for Heart.
In addition to raising funds to support projects aimed to improve patient care and hospital experience for the families and four hundred children that are treated annually at the BC Children’s Hospital Heart Unit, the Triple Crown for Heart is partnering with the Children’s Heart Network (CHN), a provincial, non-profit organization offering support, information, and education to families, children, and youth dealing with congenital or acquired heart disease. Each year the CHN organizes summer camp for families living with congenital or acquired heart disease and is geared toward providing opportunities for children and youth to participate in a wide range of physical and social activities to have fun and connect with others who have faced similar challenges.

Now in our 9th year, a portion of the TCH fundraising efforts will be directed toward the CHN to support bringing children and youth to camp! We are so thrilled that many have been with us along the road to getting better at what we do and donating funds in aid of the cause and we hope you will join us in this expanded funding to a very worthwhile need.

We are super stoked about this new twist to what we do and we would not have been able to expand without your support of the event and the cause. Words cannot express our gratitude to your commitment to climb 3 mountains and most importantly, the shared fundraising efforts that support the cause we all stand for.
As riders of the event know, the cost of the event is covered by the rider fees. Whatever is left over after saving some to start-up next year, is added to the amount raised. Not much is left after all of the bills are paid and this is why we rely heavily on the donations and fundraising efforts of our riders and supporters. We believe that the expanded fundraising mandate of the organization will bring-about a renewed perspective to supporting the families in our province living with congenital or acquired heart disease – some of these family’s stories we have grown to know over the years.
Please help our heart families and patients at BC Children’s Hospital and also help us send a child to camp this summer by considering your part in fundraising. Ask us how we can help if you need help and please feel free to share this video.
